Religious Education

The intent of our Religious Education curriculum, informed by the Enfield SACRE, is to enable all our children to learn concepts from and about religion, so that they can understand the world around them. Through enquiry based learning, we ensure our children acquire and develop knowledge and understanding of the world faiths and principal religions represented in Great Britain; their understanding and awareness of the beliefs, values and traditions of other individuals, societies, communities and cultures, to appreciate the way that religious beliefs shape life and our behaviour, develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues and enhance their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. The curriculum is further enhanced by educational visits to places of worship within our local community.

Our Curriculum Drivers of growth mindset, community, environment and language development are embedded in teaching and learning and encourage our children to enquire about the world and to reflect on their own beliefs, values and experiences.
