This half term our Learning Quest topic is, “Look after me!” We were lucky enough to receive a visit from Florence Nightingale herself, who taught us about how she help wounded soldiers in the Crimean War. She was horrified to see the terrible, unsanitary conditions wounded soldiers faced, and made it her mission to make the hospitals clean and hygienic.  “Florence Nightingale is a hero because she was brave and went to look after injured soldiers at Scutari, she was the first female nurse to help, but then she took lots of other nurses with her.”
