Children in Need

Grange Park Primary thoroughly enjoyed taking part in activities to support this year’s Children in Need campaign!

Not only was this year’s campaign about giving to others, but also taking care of ourselves!

The daily energisers with Joe Wicks gave us an opportunity to boost our energy in readiness for the day ahead and the ‘Five to Thrive’ videos and activities enabled us to flash back and reconnect with the 'Five Ways to Wellbeing' which support positive mental health and wellbeing.

On Feel Good Friday, we had fun wearing spots to school to take part in the whole school fundraising effort and even took part alongside Joe Wicks’ and children across the UK during his live 24 hour workout!

We reflected on the positive impact that giving has not only for those who are helped by donations but those who give as we have done this week and concluded that we were really proud to have been involved in supporting children in need across the whole of the UK.

A huge thank you to everyone for supporting Children in Need. It was lovely to see the school full of spots! We had a great response and are proud to be sending a much needed donation to support this important charity to help children across the UK during these challenging times.

Here are a few snippets from the activities…

Here is a photo of Year 1 children who enjoyed starting each day with Joe Wicks and his  Children In Need energisers. We were super excited to be joining the nation and the BBC at 9.05am on Friday morning to exercise with Joe in his last 20 minutes of his 24 hour challenge.

"We took part in Joe Wicks’ live workout and raised money for children less fortunate than ourselves. We hope this money can be used to improve the lives of those disadvantaged children all across the country." Perissa - Picasso Class.
