Leading Parent Partnership Award

We value highly our partnership with parents and as part of our drive to increase parental involvement and enhance parental support for learning, we are working towards achievement of the Leading Parent Partnership Award. This is a national award that provides a coherent framework through which schools can deliver effective parental engagement. It will provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen our partnership with parents and, as a result, the impact this has on children's learning.

Homework survey

Following the initial Parent Forum discussion on Wednesday 18 March, we are now reviewing our Homework Policy and would like to have your views on homework at Grange Park. Please click on the 'Parents' tab and follow the links to access our online survey.

Story Cafe

Thank you to all the parents who joined our Reception children for this half-term's Story Cafe. It is a valuable opportunity to share a love of books and other related activities in the classroom.

Assessment Forums

Both morning and evening forums were well-attended. A brief overview of Government reforms was followed by an outline of how Grange Park will use formative assessment to track the progress and attainment of children in Reading, Writing, Maths and Science. Parents were given plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss issues.

Transition to Reception

We invited all parents/carers of children new to Reception to complete a short questionnaire about their child starting school, to enable us to consider the aspects found positive and how we might improve the process. The document below details our findings:
