Grange Park Primary School Admissions Arrangements

 

The school will admit 120  children to Reception in September each year. Parents will receive notification from the LEA in the spring term as to whether a place will be offered the following September.


Our induction and admission procedures include:

  • Tours around the school for prospective parents on Tuesday mornings on the following dates:

          27 September 2016

          4 October 2016

          18 October 2016

          1 November 2016

          15 November 2016

          6 December 2016

          13 December 2016

          10 January 2017

         There will also be an evening tour at 6pm on Wednesday 7 December 2016 and                    Thursday 5 January 2017

  • Liaison with nurseries and pre-school providers
  • Stay and Play sessions in the summer term prior to starting school
  • Class visit in the summer term prior to starting school
  • Home visit from class teacher and Learning Support Assistant in first week of Autumn term
  • Part-time staggered intake

 

When children are admitted into school other than at the beginning of Reception or during the school year, they are given their own individual induction. Admission to the school for these pupils is managed by the local authority and is based on their published criteria. It is the

school’s policy to place twins/triplets in different classes.

 

Prospective parents are able to have a tour of the school at 9.30am on the dates listed above.  Please call the school office to reserve a place on the tour.  The school office will help in providing exact dates and times.

Reception applications for admissions in 2017

 

Please find below some information about applying for a reception place for 2017.

 

If your child was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013, you will need to apply for a primary school place by 15 January 2017. Your child will start reception class in September 2017.

Parents need to make their applications online.  The online portal can be accessed via this link – www.enfield.gov.uk/admission or directly at www.eadmissions.org.uk

 

The period for applications is from now until to 15 January 2017.
